Now this golf course ain't posh like The Roxburghe - it's a nine hole locally known as Dimpleknowe - but we can assure you it's a lot of fun.
Not only is it a lot of fun, but it's challenging for those smug people who think a local farmer-owned course will be a dawdle. It's refreshing to see 'bring your children and dogs' on the web site (where oh where do you ever get that kind of welcome?), but any child (or dog) who can rise to the challenge of the first 'vertical' shot up a steep hill at over 400 yards is welcome to stay around!
Oh yes, and the web site warns: "Occasional other hazards may appear from time to time'. Intriguing, please let us know if you witness any. Apart from the frequent Phantom jets flying in pairs at 600 mph plus just above yer heid we're stymied on that one...
