Caddy Mann, Jedburgh

Caddy Mann, Jedburgh

Unassuming from the outside and cosy on the inside with a few antique knick knacks for sale, a visitor just wouldn't know what to expect from this restaurant.

But be prepared to be pleasantly surprised by the delights on offer. You'll see a blackboard featuring the day's menu and even just a starter for lunch such as the chicken goujons in tempura batter or main, say the retro peppered steak will delight.

For dinner you could try saddle of venison served with crisp pheasant beignet, celeraic and beetroot gratin and a juniper berry sauce followed by warm choc and hazelnut fudge cake with praline cream and dark Valrhona chocolate sauce.

Need we say more except perhaps that it's been cooked to perfection and if you're a vegi you won't be disappointed.
