Waterwheel Tea Room, Selkirk

Waterwheel Tea Room, Selkirk

The waterwheel coffee shop is set in a field just by the roadside as you head from Selkirk to Yarrow. It's gloriously, tranquilly rural, bright, light and spacious. There's decent coffee and homemade cakes including squidgy cheesy scones.

Lunch is simple but tasty such as home made soup followed by creamy chicken casserole or a vegetarian pasta option.

The loos deserve a mention too: spotless with posh smelly handwash and handcream. This place really does come recommended.
