If you're coming to fish on the Tweed you'll be asked to sign a statement declaring that you haven't fished abroad in the last week. This is a serious precautionary measure to lessen the chance of the deadly virus Gyrodactylus salaris (Gs) which is destroying the freshwater fishing industry in Norway.
If you have been fishing abroad in the previous week you will be asked to disinfect your gear.
