Let's go eat some worms!

... big fat, juicy ones!

Local primary schools in an initiative by the council's composting partner AskOrganic have each been given a wormery to teach children the benefits of using worms to create compost.

Worms are fantastic natural composters turning household waste such as veg peelings and torn up newspapers into compost - the black gold of gardening.

It's worth noting that they don't like onions or citrus fruit so no orange peel if you decide to try this for yourself!
