Cycling in the Scottish Borders

The Scottish Borders is the perfect place for cycling, You can enjoy exploring the hundreds of miles of unusually scenic and quiet roads and this area is one of the most exciting places in Scotland, in the UK, in Europe even, for mountain biking.

You can follow established cycle routes such as the sublime Tweed Cycleway, where you can cycle a few miles with lovely riverside views or venture the whole length, a mere 69 miles, from Broughton to Melrose.
The region is traversed by the SUSTRANS (National Cycle Network) route, seductively called the Coast & Castles Cycle Route, from Edinburgh to Newcastle. That can take you to Glentress at Innerleithen, famous worldwide for its mountain biking trails.

See www.coast-and-castles.co.uk for more information on this enchanting route.
